Villa "TwoBears", Sanur, Bali
We wrote below that we had our honeymoon a year ago in Sanur, Bali.
Well, we love the place so much we put money down for a villa on the beach in Sanur.
It's not EXACTLY beachfront, but about 20 metres from the sand. Our villa's behind a cluster of more choicely located, i.e. more expensive, 2-storey units on the beach.
Being Singaporeans used to stratospheric property prices, the combination of a reasonable pricetag and plummeting USD almost rendered it a logical purchase !
The foundation work starts next week, and we hope to be spending Christmas or New Year's Eve in 2010 in our own home in Bali. Visitors welcome, and we'll be renting it to paying guests as well once the whole development is up and running. But right now, the site is in shambles still.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that it ends up looking close to what the show villa's like ! This certainly gives us a great excuse to fly down often to check on the progress !
